Özet

Chronic cough is a common distressing symptom and it is defined as coughing for more than four weeks. There are many causes for chronic cough but asthma, chronic rhinosinusitis and gastroesophageal reflux disease account for most of the cases. Other causes, such as dysfunctional swallowing, congenital anomalies and cigarette smoking, are also important. Long uvula is unusual reason for chronic cough in adult. An adult male patient with elongated, floppy uvula that is causing chronic cough through mechanical irritation of upper airway is presented.
