Every infant has the right to be fed with breast milk which is the ideal way of infant feeding and has its positive impacts throughout a life time. The key stones of ideal infant feeding is to breast feed infants with proper frequency and duration with an appropriate technique and not to introduce fluids including water or any solid foods during the first 6 months of the infancy and to continue breastfeeding until the child is 2 years old with accompanying supplemental nutrition. All mothers who admit to health facilities during their lactation periods should be encouraged to breast feed and should be given proper consult about breastfeeding. Lactating mothers should also be encouraged to admit to health facilities if they have any difficulties and problems concerning breast feeding. Health personel should also be educated about breast milk and breastfeeding by proper educational seminars. All of these approaches would be an oppurtunity to increase the rates of breast feeding.
