New dioxomolybdenum(VI) chelates with 2-hydroxybenzophenone S-R-1-4-phenyl-thiosemicarbazone [R-1= -CH3 (H2L1), -C2H5 (H2L2)] and some n-alcohols were synthesized in formula [MoO2(L)ROH] (R= CnH2n+1; n=1-5). These mixed-ligand complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductivity, electronic, infrared and H-1-NMR spectroscopies. The crystal structure of [MoO2(L-1)C5H11OH] and [MoO2(L-2)CH3OH] chelates, which crystallized in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n, were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction method. Effect of N(4)-phenyl substituent on the conjugation of chelate rings was discussed.
